I am a hardworking, energetic, friendly, creative individual who enjoys helping others. In my spare time, I like to boogie board in my hometown at the San Diego beaches or shove my face in jars of chocolate chip cookies. I am a recent college graduate from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), class of 2018, with a major in Sociology and a Professional Writing Minor specialized in Civic Engagement.
I am currently working as a full-time Benefits Assistant at ConAm Management. There, I help administer benefits for our 1500+ employees and manage workers' compensation and leaves. Prior, I was a part time Development Assistant Student-Intern at UCSB Arts & Lectures. In my 3 years at Arts & Lectures, I have been able to meet renowned artists and public figures such as, Yo-Yo Ma, former Vice President, Joe Biden, Conan O'Brien and Gloria Steinem. On top of fulfilling administrative, development and event-planning positions, I have also dipped my toes in Human Resources as the Benefits and Compensation student-intern where I quickly acquired experience in fingerprinting and filing legal documents. I have a big, caring heart and have always found great admiration for the elderly community. I am working to one day start my own non-profit to help the elderly with financial security, pursuing happiness and ultimately assist and provide a successful path in aging. I also enjoy expressing my creativity through photography and calligraphy. I am an amateur photographer who admires the variety within the spectrum of light, speed, and depth of field. Being able to capture every passing moment makes me inspired to express the stories of people, culture and community through my photos. I also like to hand-make my own cards as I find great humor in puns and appreciate all the finite details that are embedded in making a card. With my years of experience in multiple administrative/clerical positions, in addition to my bubbly spirit and welcoming personality, I am able to cultivate relationships with the utmost professionalism. Please feel free to contact me for further questions/comments/concerns. It would be a pleasure to know your thoughts. |
